  • Tim Molepske

I have been a resident of Hopkins since 2008. My spouse and I have three kids (Grade 5 Alice Smith; Grade 9 Hopkins HS; Recent Grad).

I am motivated to run for Hopkins School Board by a desire to build upon the great successes of our district and support needed changes where we fall short. We need to continue to support all our students including those in the LGBTQ+ communities, immigrants and those who traditionally feel marginalized.

I have spent most of my professional career working in and with public education.

For the last 15 years I have worked for an education technology company. In that time, I have focused on working with some of the largest school districts and state/provincial agencies and their use of technology to improve processes, communication and the educational experience for students, parents, teachers, support staff and administration.

Previously, I also served as a Technology Director for Winnetka Public Schools.

I attended Winona State where I worked with the College of Education to help Education Majors learn how to incorporate technology as a tool in their teaching.

My parents were teachers (Art & French). My family has long been advocates for public education and the arts.

Outside of work, I have volunteered with many youth organizations in Hopkins including Hopkins Cub Scout Pack 254 and Hopkins Area Little League.

Selfishly, my favorite Hopkins event of the year is the annual Adult Pinewood Derby at LTD that benefits Cub Scouts.
